Bertha Phohlela is certified Green Belt Six Sigma practitioner who holds Project Management as well as Business Analysis qualifications. Bertha has 20 years working experience; 14 of which are in the Social Responsibility sector. Throughout her working career she has been exposed to three main sectors mainly:
- Social Development where she worked with old age homes, orphanages and feeding schemes
- Health where she worked with hospices during the peak of the HIV and Aids pandemic in South Africa
- Education where she worked in all phases of Foundation, from ECD centers, primary and secondary school as well as tertiary institutions. She spent most of her career in the Education sector managing a portfolio of over a hundred secondary schools for a Maths and Science Challenge program.
Her passion is formulation and implementation of organisational operational strategies using process engineering techniques and governance and compliance integration. Currently Bertha is an Administration Manager at Tshikululu Social Investments NPC, where upon she is responsible for vetting applications, ensuring PBO law compliance for Trusts managed by Tshikululu and overall organisational continuous process improvement. She is also responsible for the internal Skills Development Program in adherence with the Amended B-BBEE codes.
