Mthandazo Khumalo an emerging researcher in contemporary development processes occurring across the global village. He is an active global citizen and an ambitious young professional advocating for just, fair and equal communities and has demonstrated experience in research, volunteerism, program planning and implementation, M and E, civic participation, sexual reproductive health rights and livelihoods, education, key populations in Sustainable HIV response, Youth Empowerment.
He is also an active participating member of World Youth Alliance and South African Development Studies Association, YALI Network and International AIDS Society. Mthandazo also possesses a first master’s degree by in Development Policy (Sustainable Development and International Development from KDI School of Public Policy and Management from South Korea. He also holds a second master’s degree by Research (Development Studies) from the UNISA and a BA Honours Degree from Midlands State University in Zimbabwe.
Mthandazo has over 6 years’ experience of working in the NGO/private sector. He has worked in South Korea, South Africa and Zimbabwe in organizations such as ORAP Zimbabwe, World Food Program, Restless Development, Building Bridges Foundation, Cotlands, Tulip, KDI School, Hersol, ICASA, and IAS. Mthandazo has a colossal passion of spearheading the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 and Agenda 2063. He has also won a vast plethora of research awards and scholarships and is also a book writer. In 2017, he got his first book published by a Germany Company. Mthandazo hopes to inspire other young people so that they can become active and responsible catalysts for genuine change.
